At Unified Work, we are constantly exploring innovative ways to unlock new opportunities for people with disabilities. As part of our mission to increase access to good jobs and empower individuals with the tools they need to thrive, we are thrilled to announce our cutting-edge Virtual Reality (VR) Career Exploration and Training program.

Virtual reality is revolutionizing the way we approach career exploration and skills training, and we are excited to take part in this technological leap forward. Unified Work is able to offer a fully immersive, hands-on experience for individuals to explore 35+ career simulations and learn in-demand skills in an interactive and immersive environment.

The Pilot Program: What’s Next?

This fall and winter, we’ll be procuring VR headsets to pilot the program with 50 licenses across our partner organizations. This will allow us to engage individuals directly with VR career training simulations in a variety of industries. With this program, participants will be able to explore real-world job environments without leaving the classroom, gaining valuable insights into their potential future careers.

The potential for VR in workforce development is massive. From health care to skilled trades, this immersive training can help individuals with disabilities overcome barriers to employment by providing them with the confidence and hands-on experience needed to succeed in the job market.

A Front-Row Seat at XR Futures

Earlier this year, we had the privilege of attending the annual XR Futures conference at Civic Hall in New York. This event brought together leaders from the fields of education, technology, and workforce development, where we had the opportunity to dive deep into the future of VR and its role in shaping accessible and life-changing opportunities for all.

The conference underscored the transformative power of immersive learning technologies like VR in breaking down barriers and providing people with disabilities the chance to develop key job skills in a safe and supportive environment. We’re excited to bring this knowledge back to Unified Work and implement it within our programs to further expand career access and training.

A Strong Team, Ready to Make an Impact
