About Unified Work
Unified Work began in 2016, with initial classes launching in 2017. Initially, we offered “Work Skills 101” focusing on key areas such as communication and leadership, with 27 participants. By 2018, demand grew, leading to seven classes across MDI’s locations and the introduction of “Career Skills” classes for external participants.
In 2019, we expanded to include “Career Skills 201,” addressing advanced topics like problem-solving and customer service, impacting nearly 100 lives. The pandemic in 2020 prompted a shift to virtual training, reaching 23 MDI employees.
In 2021, we rebounded with over 100 participants and launched Mobile Career Skills, targeting rural areas. By 2022, we rebranded to Unified Work, growing our reach to 160 participants.
In 2023, Unified Work expanded significantly, hosting 17 mobile classes and 11 virtual classes, impacting over 370 participants. We also explored new market opportunities, developing a robust disability awareness training program and initiating our first external internship.
